How Our Real Estate Market Might be Effected by Today’s Economy

We live in uncertain times, and the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic surely has us worried about the future. It's hard to know how to protect ourselves and our families without losing our sense of perspective.

Please take a minute to review this article posted by the Florida Association of Realtors (FAR) last week. In it, FAR compares the economic impact of today's jumpy economic market to the events that led up to the 2008 Recession. The article describes that today's economic upheaval is based on an external factor -- like a natural disaster, while the 2008 financial crisis was based in years of deeply rooted weak spots in the economy. Although the coronavirus may wreak havoc on the market, the financial ramifications should not be as long-term or as devastating as the Great Recession.
