South Ponte Vedra Beach Real Estate
South Ponte Vedra Beach has served for many years as a vacation destination, as well as a primary home community to Jacksonville and St. Augustine. Recently, many of the older beach houses have given way to upscale year-round homes that take full advantage of the ocean and state park views. There are also a number of smaller gated communities on the Intracoastal (west) side of A1A. These neighborhoods offer amenities and private access to the beach. In 2001, the Serenata Beach Club brought a luxury private membership beach club to a quiet spot on the ocean.
South Ponte Vedra Beach Amenities
The closest grocery shopping is in Vilano beach, where a town center is under development. South Ponte Vedra offers several boat ramps that provide access to the Intracoastal Waterway, and a wide range of outdoor activities such as fishing, boating, biking, hiking, and many educational offerings at the nearby GTM Reserve. There is good public access to the beach. Restricted driving on the beach is permitted in parts of Vilano Beach.
