Insight to Real Estate News in Jacksonville & Ponte Vedra, Florida

Have a Kayaking Adventure in April with the North Florida Land Trust!

It’s Heather and I have information on an adventure that benefits the North Florida Land Trust.  From Saturday, April 3rd to Saturday, April 10th, 2010, the North Florida Land Trust will be sponsoring EcoQuest, a kayaking event (all week) and family fun day (4/10).

For a $10 donation per location, you receive five geocahe markers that must be placed in “Treasure Boxes” to be eligible for prizes. Five locations that have benefited from land conservation are involved in this kayaking adventure. They are Pumpkin Hill Preserve in North Jacksonville, Julington Creek at the Palmetto Boat Ramp off of Old St. Augustine Road, Anastasia Island in St. Augustine, North Guana in Ponte Vedra Beach, and Dutton Island in Atlantic Beach.

In order to be eligible for the grand prize packages, you must visit all five locations within the event time period (April 3-10) and then attend the EcoQuest Festival on April 10th. The culminating Festival will include a farmer’s market, family kayaking experiences, a nature scavenger hunt, live music, and food.

This unique fundraiser looks like it will be great fun! For more information, visit the North Florida Land Trust website or www.ecoquestadventure.com. Happy Paddling!
